Rebecca has been working with children of all ages for 8 years. She also has been developing and designing Uniting Community since she was in elementary school. As a child she grew up in stage productions with the theater program, C.Y.T. during which time she realized the benefits of being able to develop self-confidence on stage and to perform in front of large audiences on a regular basis. The skills she developed during her youth have carried through to her adult life. "It is important to develop a sense of self from a very young age, each of us are given gifts and they are ours to bless the world with. Through support and encouragement early on our children can face the future knowing that they have a purpose and we will be here to teach and love them along their journey."
Amanda Solie, Southern California Director
I find children to be amazing and unique individuals with their creative and imaginative minds and kind and innocent hearts. I plan to involve the children in artistic development, as well as reading, singing and creative movement inspired by yoga. I am a 27 year old mother of two beautiful daughters, the oldest a 3 year old and my newest edition a 2 month old. I find myself to be thorough and consistently dependable as well as a kind, nurturing and a caring individual. I believe one person can be a difference and want to teach the children not to be afraid to be “the one.” I enjoy wearing flowers in my hair, climbing trees, hula hooping, and dancing like nobody is watching. On top of that I have child care experience of all ages. I studied child development all through high school and college and moved on to be a Nanny and am excited to add Uniting Community to my resume. Now there is nothing left to do but smile, smile, smile!
